10 Years of the Auburn Family Coming Together

Tiger Giving Day began in 2015 by giving a handful of grassroots projects across Auburn’s campus a chance to present their causes to the Auburn Family.  Since then, we have not wavered from our unique approach — our donors are our heroes, and our projects lead our charge — remaining committed to Auburn’s Creed.

Here's what prior Tiger Giving Day donors had to say

Giving back to the university is the best way I know to say thank you for all it has given me. Without my time at Auburn my life would be entirely different.

— Don Moseley ‘73

I like the number of options that are shared so that I can support my favorites!

— MaryBeth Dykes ‘76

I have been blessed by my experience at Auburn, and if my Tiger Day giving can help others benefit from Auburn, then it is money well spent.

— Steve Redding ‘70

TGD is an opportunity to advance many worthy and meaningful projects which are important to me while also advancing Auburn’s overall land grant mission. It’s a way to ensure that these special projects are funded which may have only been a concept, idea or dream in the past.

— Susan Dantoni ‘80

I can give any amount and feel like I am making even a small difference. I love seeing the real-time numbers and seeing each project reach its funding goal. I don't give much, but I generally choose 4 or 5 projects that touch my heart in some way and give a little to each one. I also like waiting later in the day and try to give to those that have not yet reached their goal.

— Kelly Beach ‘86

Auburn University had an important impact on my life then and now. I love what they're doing, I love how they've changed lives for the better and I want to help with that if I can.

[Tiger Giving Day is] an opportunity to support students who may not have the resources to pursue their dreams.

— Yameeka Williams

The year that I first became aware of the wheelchair basketball team and made a contribution to their project is a great memory. I had no connection to the team, but a few months later we were at Disney World and met one of the team members, Samuel Armas, and his family! It was great to share that I had chosen the team on Tiger Giving Day! That experience certainly brought home to me the importance of Tiger Giving Day and made it more personal to me.

— Susan Ragland ‘78

So much of who I am and what I've been able to do professionally and personally has come from Auburn, so it's only natural for me to want to give back to the people and institution that has meant so much to me all my life.

— Spencer Lee ‘92

[What is your favorite part of Tiger Giving Day?] Seeing smaller initiatives with potentially big impacts come to life. It’s also fun seeing many familiar names pop up on the donor wall reminding us the generosity of the Auburn Family.
